Pele discharged from hospital, remains in stable condition

SAO PAULO

Brazilian soccer legend Pele was released from Sao Paulo’s Albert Einstein Hospital on Thursday. saidThree days later, he was transferred to continue treatment for a colon cancer.

Doctors believe that Pele’s medical condition is stable and good. said.

The 81 year-old is widely considered to be the greatest footballer ever. In September 2021, he had surgery to remove the tumour. Since then, he has been visiting the hospital regularly for treatment.

Pele was admitted to the hospital for chemotherapy in February after a urinary infection was discovered. He was kept there longer than expected. Read the full story

In the past, the ex-Brazilian, Santos and New York Cosmos forward had a series health problems in recent years. He was also left with chronic pain and unaided walking after a hip surgery.

Pele has been less visible in public but is still active on social networks.
