Video shows police pulling over driverless car in San Francisco

Have you ever wondered what happens if a driverless vehicle is pulled over?

This video was posted on social media earlier this month. It shows how police tried to stop an autonomous vehicle that was driving on the streets of San Francisco.

The vehicle, operated and maintained by Cruise self-driving cars, is seen being pulled over on the street side with a cruiser police officer behind.

An officer walks towards the driver’s seat and inspects the windows. Before the driverless car takes off, the officer crosses an intersection and pulls to the street’s side again with its hazard light on.

General Motors owns Cruise. He replied to the tweet.

“Our AV (autonomous vehicle) yielded to the police vehicle, then pulled over to the nearest safe location for the traffic stop, as intended,” the company said on Sunday.

“An officer contacted Cruise personnel and no citation was issued.”
