Twitter testing new conversation thread button for Spaces

Twitter is continually improving its Spaces live audio platform. The social network now has another update that will give users more ways to interact with one another. A new Conversation Thread button is being tested by the company for Spaces.

As announced by official Twitter Spaces profileTwitter will send a Space card to every tweet after a host opens a space. Other users will then be able send tweets directly to that Space.

A new chat button will allow you to access the thread right next the Space’s reactions button. It will also display the number of interactions within that thread. The new button will allow users to only see tweets that were sent in reply to this Space. Users can then quickly interact with other participants during the audio conversation by tapping the button.

Tweets from within a Space are linked to the room, so other users can see what the conversation is about. Tweets sent from a Space can still be shared on the regular timeline and retweeted.

Twitter had announced an earlier option to share audio clips from Spaces with anyone with a link. According to reports, the company is also working on a podcast platform.

Spaces’ new conversation thread is currently being released to users on iOS and Android by Twitter.
