This European airline just ordered a fleet of airships

One Spanish airline has ordered new hybrid aircrafts in the ongoing quest for environmentally friendly aviation. These airships pack as much visual punch as they do visually. said to do environmentally.
Air Nostrum operates flights under Iberia Regional from Valencia and has ordered 10 Airlander 10. Delivery is scheduled for 2026.
It was previously predicted by its manufacturers that the aircraft would be in service in 2025, as it was unveiled in 2016.
The hybrid airships are made by UK-based Hybrid Air Vehicles. According to the company they could cut emissions by as much as 90%.
They are powered by electricity and helium, and can hold 100 passengers. The maximum speed of the aircraft is 80 mph (129 KPH).
According to the manufacturer this deal comes after six months of “rigorous study and modeling” of Spanish routes.
HAV states that the aircraft may be able to fly short-range routes in the future. These include Liverpool to Belfast (168 mi), Seattle to Vancouver (127 mi), Oslo to Stockholm (263 mi). HAV has earmarked waterfronts, greenfield sites, and underutilized airports as potential destinations for the aircraft.
“Airlander doesn’t need an airport structure to run. CNN spokesperson said that HAV is exploring new operating locations with Air Nostrum.
The interiors are more glamorous than ordinary airplane cabins. They have a 1-2-1 layout, with some seats facing eachother with transparent walls that allow for views of the surrounding countryside. It will fly at a maximum height of 20,000 feet for those who love to see where they are going.

Air Nostrum President Carlos Bertomeu saidThe airships will assist his company in reaching the European Union’s “Fit for 55”, which aims to reduce emissions by at least 55% before 2030.
He stated, “The Airlander 10 will dramatically reduce emissions and that is why we have made this agreement to HAV.” saidIn a statement. “Sustainability…is already a non-negotiable reality in the daily operations commercial aviation.
“Agreements like these are a very efficient way to reach de-carbonization goals contemplated by the Fit for 55 legislative initiative.”
HAV CEO Tom Grundy said: “As countries such as France, Denmark Norway, Spain, and the UK begin putting in place ambitious mandates to decarbonize domestic and short-haul flight, Hybrid Air Vehicles (HAV) and Air Nostrum Group demonstrate how we can get there – and get there quickly.”
“Airlander is designed for a better future in sustainable aviation services, enable new transportation networks, and provide rapid growth options to our customers.”
HAV will start building the fleet in this year. This will create 1,800 jobs in Yorkshire and the UK.
The company saidIt stated that it was working on “further advancements in electric propulsion” and hopes that the Airlander 10 will be the first large-scale aircraft to achieve zero emissions flight.
