How to watch Magic Johnson documentary ‘They Call Me Magic’

Apple today launches two docuseries on basketball. The Long Game, which is about Makur Maker (an upcoming NBA hopeful), is the first. They Call Me Magic, a documentary that covers the life and times of basketball legend Earvin Johnson, is the most popular. It consists of four parts. Both series can be viewed online with an Apple TV+ subscription.

The series gives unprecedented access to Magic Johnson and his family and friends. It covers Magic’s career as a superstar NBA player for the Los Angeles Lakers. Additionally, it shows his later life as an entrepreneur, helping Black communities to be acknowledged in corporate America.

It also shows how HIV diagnosis caused a paradigm shift in the way that the disease was perceived worldwide.

The Long Game is about Makur Maker’s career, which was set up for him as a five star candidate in the NBA draft. However, he became a Howard University player after an unplanned turn of events.
