Kenyan Evans Chebet wins Boston Marathon in return to spring

Kenyan Evans Chebet won the Boston Marathon Monday. This was the first time that the race had been back to its Patriots’ Day slot since the outbreak of coronavirus.

Men’s pack of 20 men lost to two after it left Heartbreak Hill. Then Chebet, a Chebet of Tanzania, pulled away from Gabriel Geay with four miles to go. This was in an unofficial time of 2:06, 50 seconds, 50 seconds.
