Canucks’ Horvat to miss at least 2 weeks with lower-body injury

Vancouver Canucks captain Bo Horvat has been declared out of action for at least two more weeks due to a lower body injury.

The team says the 27-year-old centre will be re-evaluated in two weeks — a timeline that means he may have played his last game of the regular season.

Horvat took Anton Stralman’s shot from the inside of his right foot in the second period Vancouver’s 7-1 win over the Arizona Coyotes.

He immediately went to his locker room and didn’t return to the game.

Nils Hoglander has also been updated by the Canucks. They say that he had successful surgery to correct a core/groin injury. No timeline is set for his return.

Vancouver (37-28%-10), has a slim chance at making the playoffs. Vancouver will continue a critical homestand Monday, when it hosts Dallas Stars.
