Canada’s Jessie Fleming, Chelsea win 2nd straight FA Cup

Sam Kerr scored in extra-time her second Women’s FA Cup final goals to complete Chelsea’s domestic double, beating Manchester City 3-2 on Sunday.
In the 99th minute, Australia’s forward scored from outside the penalty box to defend the cup for the west London club. This was in front of a record crowd of 49,094 at Wembley Stadium. Emma Hayes’ team won the cup a week after capturing the Women’s Super League title for the third consecutive time.
Kerr secured the victory in overtime by capitalizing City being a player lower at the back after Alanna Kelly was taken with cramp.
Kerr, on a two-on-one with Fleming, drove forward and — using the London, Ont., native as a decoy — fired the shot that took a massive deflection off Alex Greenwood to Roebuck and go into the back of the net.
